Refrigeration Manager ( Ref No.: SV3209DSGW)
SUPERVALU INC.. has an immediate opening for a Refrigeration Buyer with our Design Services Group. We are seeking an individual with knowledge of refrigeration to support the sourcing and specification of supermarket refrigeration equipment. Specifically:
- Recommend proper equipment application for new and remodel projects
- Negotiate/Bid the procurement of refrigeration equipment and installation
- Work closely with merchandisers, maintenance and criteria engineering on sourcing the right equipment to provide best total cost of ownership
- Manage vendor relationships and performance metrics
Successful candidates will have the following:
- Minimum of four years experience in either the supermarket or refrigeration industry
- Knowledge of refrigeration cases and systems
- Strong personal organizational skills and ability to coordinate multiple projects
- Strong interpersonal skills including listening, verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to develop innovative solutions in a constantly changing merchandise environment
